Here is the question

How can I get my site xxxx.com on the top page in search engines? My website does not appear in your (Google's) search engine. It has been submitted several times over the last 3 months.

Here is my reply:

You are going to have to decide what keywords you want associated with your site. In other words what are the keywords that you want associated with your site when people type in search terms?

When you answer that question and you have your chosen keywords in mind then you work on incorporating those keywords within your site.

I Did A Check On My Search Engine Rankings Today And..........

I see that both of my Adsense Consulting Blogs are still showing on page one of the Google search engine rankings.

How do I still manage to achieve this? Well I think that first of all constantly updating your site helps - although this is not a "given". There have been times when I have updated my blogs and received a much lower ranking in the search engines. So it really is not an exact science!

One thing that I will say that I have done is to analyze the sites of my search engine competitors and there have been things that I have done to my own blogs in the hopes of getting a higher search engine ranking and sometimes it has worked - but again it is not an exact science!

You just have to keep trying new things and then just when you think you have it something new comes along that you have to learn. But all-in-all what I do is that I keep on trying and the fact that my blogs are on page one of google's search engine for the term "adsense consultant"proves that I am doing something right!

Increasing Page Impressions?

I just got a comment on my Adsense Consultant blog about increasing my page impressions.

Just in case you don't know what the Adsense program is it is a way to be able to earn money online. Google's Adsense program lets you add ads to your website or blog and when visitors to your site click on those ads then you earn money! Anyway, the comment was about increasing the number of impressions (visitors) that I get to my blog. Like I replied "there is always room for improvement". So far both of my Adsense Consulting blogs still appear on page one of Google's search engine when someone types in the term adsense consultant but there is always room for improvement.

You have to remember that new sites are coming online all the time and you have to constantly keep up with the work that is involved in keeping your site high in the search engine rankings.

There are a number of things that you can do to increase your page impressions BUT the very best place to start is with getting your site high in the search engine rankings!

and here is the reply that I gave:

First of all a lot of the major search engines have links to where you can add your site manually. However this will not put your site on the search engines immediately. Sometimes it can take as much as a few months for your site to show up when you add it manually.

The best and fastest way to get your blog on the search engines is to decide which keywords you want associated with your blog. Type in the keywords to see where you rank and if your site doesn't appear as high up in the search engines as you want it to be then work on incorporating those keywords into the content of your blog.

For instance my blog

shows up on page 1 or 2 of Google's search engine results when the keyword "adsense consultant" are typed in. Now mind you my blog is about 4 months old and it showing up on page 1 of google's search engines is a minor miracle. But I didn't do any manual submission to the blog, I just work on the content of my blog.

A client of mine

The Computer Dude

has a blog that shows up on page one of Google's search engine results when someone types in the keyword "computer dude" - heck his search results are better than mine and I work at optimizing both blogs!

So giving you step by step instructions may be darn near impossible!

It will depend on what keywords you want associated with your blog and where you blog ranks now as opposed to where you want it to rank in the search engines.

"How Do I Add My Blog To Google's Search Engine Results?"

Well I can tell you that there will be a lot of work involved as far as getting your blog (or website) high in the search engine rankings! Some people are lucky in that their sites get indexed right away in the search engines but this doesn't happen for everybody!

You have to decide what keywords you want your blog to be associated with. Then the next thing that you do is to do a search using those search terms and see where your blog shows up. If you don't like where your blog is showing up or worse yet your blog site isn't showing up at all then you have to work harder at incorporating those search terms within the content of your blog.

You should also realize too that there is a LOT of competition out there for high search engine rankings and that just means that you'll have to work harder at getting high search engine rankings.

The competition has found devious and illegitimate ways at getting high search engine rankings and unfortunately that just makes it harder for the "average" person or business to get high search engine rankings for their own sites.

I work very hard at being able to maintain my own The Adsense Consultant Blog on the first page of Google's search engine results and to put it quite plainly - it does take a lot of work BUT it is definitely worth it if you want your site to appear high in the search engine rankings!

I'm Still On Page 1 Of Google's Search Engine Rankings For The Search Term "Adsense Consultant"!

Today I saw yet another post from someone who is complaining about their blog not showing up on Google's search engine results so I decided to take a look at my rankings today! I'm happy to say that both of my The Adsense Consultant blogs are showing up as #1 and #2 on Google's search engine results for the term "adsense consultant"! Unfortunately I can't show you a copy of my search engine results for today because that would be a violation of Adsense's terms of service. However what I CAN do is show you my search engine results from Yahoo's search engine results for the term "adsense consultant.

As you can see my search engine rankings are quite high! Both of my Adsense Consultant blogs appear highly ranked as #2 and #3 on Yahoo's search engine!

As you can see, I'm very happy about this but more importantly it shows that the techniques that I am using for high search engine rankings is working very well! As you can tell from the results above my blogs are appearing on the first page of search engine results for the term "adsense consultant" out of over 10 Million search engine results!

That is very good indeed!

I know that a lot of people are using (or trying to use) their blogs to make money so that they are able to make money online using either Google's Adsense program, another kind of affiliate program and / or by direct advertising and since having a high ranking on the major search engines goes a long way to being able to earn money online - the higher your search engine ranking, the more money that you have the potential to make online!

So when you're ready for results, just let me know!

How Long Does It Take For The Search Engines To Find My Site?

Actually your site is "findable" once it is online!

However the problem lies with how well your site has been optimized for the search engines. Let me explain!

When people are using the search engines to find out information about a certain topic or subject the search engines will return a list of sites that are related to those searches. Now while your site may contain the information that people are searching for that doesn't mean that it will automatically show up in the search engine results ONLY because those sites that DO show up have better optimized their sites for those search words / terms.

If your site is only a few hours or days old then "yes" it may take some time before it appears in the search engine results but there have been cases where site content has shown up in as little as 24 hours!

For example, my The Adsense Consultant Blog has shown up on page 1 of some search engine results only because I will post about a popular subject that many people are looking for - namely when the first sighting of the monthly "Payment in progress" has been made! People who are using adsense on their sites are anxious to know when the monthly payment process has begun and if they don't see that "payment in progress" line on their adsense account's payment history then they are curious (and anxious) about whether or not anyone else has received theirs and they will go online to look and see if anyone else has received their "payment in progress" line yet.

Since I have Adsense on some of my sites, I'm anxiously awaiting that "payment in progress" line too and so I blog about it and when people are searching for information relating to this my blog will show up and there have been times when blog posts that I have made in less than 24 hours will show up in the search engine results!

But this is due to the fact that I have chosen a very popular topic - something that I know people are looking for. As a matter of fact I wasn't even aware of this until I started checking the statistics of my site visitors.

Another factor is that I work on optimizing my sites for the search engines so that while my site rankings are high that will mean that my subsequent new content that I add will result in high search engine rankings as well.

So if you want your site to rank high in the search engines as SOON as possible you will have to first, optimize your site for the search engines and choose content that a lot of people will be looking for!

I should also note that these search engine results are from the Yahoo search page. Still, lots of people use the Yahoo search engine to search for sites. (I can not include screen captures of my Google search engine results because that would be a violation of Adsense's terms of service).

I base most of my SEO work on the results that I get from Google's search engine but any good SEO consultant would like to check theirs (and their clients') rankings in the other search engines as well!

Most of the major search engines have a link where you can manually add your blog BUT you should be forewarned that even some of these sites will tell you themselves that it may take them some time (maybe even a few months or longer) to actually "manually" get to your blog.

How Do I Get People To View My Blog?

This is going to depend on a lot of things!

First of all you should give your blog a chance (and some time) to start to build a reputation and a following.

If your blog is new then you can go to the Blogger.com's The Coffee Shop and announce your blog (and provide a link to it) to the world!

Another way that people find your blog is through the search engines.

Basically how this works is that people will use a search engine to find information. The search engine will return a list of sites that have information relating to the search terms that people have typed into the search engine. What YOU want YOUR site to do is show up on the list of search engine results when people are looking for information that is related to the information that is on your own blog.

The higher up your site is in the search engine results, the more traffic / visitors you are more likely to get.

I should warn you though that search engine optimization is not as easy as it sounds. There are a lot of people clamoring to get those high-ranking search engine listings and they have found quite a number of different (and illegitimate) ways of doing it!

You should also install a counter and one of the free statistic tracking services so that you can see how much (or how little) traffic your site gets so that you will have more information as you work to increase your traffic numbers.

First of all how old is your blog? Give it some time!

Just because you have a website or blog online does not mean that its
going to show up on the search engines automatically.

While some people have managed to have their content show up in 24
hours - the mainstream have to give it some time.

You should be looking at those site that DO show up when you type your
blog into the search engine(s) because it shows what sites are
appearing before yours which is information that you need to know -
you need to know WHY these sites are showing ahead of yours.

This whole thing is called search engine optimization - SEO for
short. And it does require work! Basically you have to work on
incorporating the search terms that you want your site to be
associated with into the content of your site.

I usually check my blog's rankings on Google's search engines because Google is the most popular of the search engines but as I was checking my referral stats I saw that someone did a search for the term "adsense consultant and that is how they got to my blog.

Basically this is the same way that you want your own site and / or blog to work as far as search engine results go.

You see the higher your site ranks, the more traffic your site will get!

It's Getting To Be A Ruthless Game!

You may not like the fact that even though your site may be a legitimate one that its still not ranking high in the search engines because other (non-legitimate) sites are!

It's now becoming a ruthless game to rank high in the search engine results because lets face it - the higher your site ranks the more traffic that will bring to your site.

There are all sorts of unscrupulous ways that sites have managed to out-optimize more legitimate sites and like it or not these ways seem to work!

Unfortunately the only thing that you can do if you still want to rank high in the search engines is to out-rank those sites that are appearing higher in the search engines than your own site is!

"How Long Will It Take For Google To Index My Site?"

That's really not an easy question to answer.

Theoretically Google already knows that your site is out there but it's going to depend on the actual search terms that people type into Google's search engine!

Even then your blog showing up in those search engine results is going to depend on how well you optimized your site for those search terms.

Currently my Adsense Consultant Blog is showing up in the top 5 search engine results for the term adsense consultant! So far my search engine results see-saw between being in the top five ranked hits out of over 1 Million search results!

Getting those kinds of search engine results is going to require some work on your part but keep in mind that the most important thing is that you have to optimize your site for the search engines - not the other way around!

I was looking at my page rankings for my The Adsense Consultant Blog and I have noticed that it is ranked #1 and has been ranked #1 for the past 3 days!

I think I may have an "inkling as to why this is happening! If I am proved to be right this could be an additional very good technique that others can use to rank high (or higher) in the search engines!

Contacting Google?

It seems a lot of people would like to be able to contact Google.com as far as asking them about why their sites aren't ranking high in the search engines.

While I know that the Google company has a standard address, phone and fax number (and I keep it in my database), I'm sure that they are not likely to broadcast it all over the place! They do have a contact form that they use and you can get to it by clicking here.

They would very much prefer that you ask your questions on the many help boards that they have.

I posted about this particular bx error code problem on my blog and then decided to do a search on it and it showed up!. It didn't show up on page one of the search engine - it showed up on page 2! But still I think that that is a pretty good search engine ranking for a blog post that I posted only a few short hours ago!

My Blog Post(s) Showing Up In The Search Engines In As Little As 24 Hours?

Many times I have posted about some of my blog posts showing up in the search engines in as little as 24 hours! I have talked about this on replies that I have posted to peoples' posts where they are asking about why their blog(s) don't show up in the search engines.

Since I am an Adsense Consultant, I have an Adsense Consultant Blog and I have noticed that some of my posts have shown up in the search engines - mainly I'm talking about Google's search engine - less than 24 hours after I made the post to my blog!

How do I know this? Well I have a stats tracker on my blog and from that I am able to tell how many people have visited my blog as well as what site referred them to my blog. Half of the time people come to my Adsense Consultant Blog via the search engines - mainly Google's search engine - and from my stats I can tell EXACTLY what search terms led them to my blog(s).

With the growing popularity of Adsense, there are more people joining the adsense program and once they join adsense they are very eager to get a payment from Adsense! I find that my Adsense Consultant Blog becomes very popular when people are looking for more information about when they can expect their adsense payment. Since I'm just as eager as anyone else to get their adsense payment I post about it on my blog! I post about when I see the "payment in progress line that lets an Adsense publisher know that their adsense payment is in progress - I post about when I see my own PIP line on my adsense account that lets me know that my adsense payment is in progress. I also try to post about the first "payment in progress sighting for the month when someone gets the PIP line on their own adsense account.

This seems to be very popular information for those that are looking out for when they are going to get their adsense payment and so they start looking online for any information about it - that's when they go to the search engines looking for more information about the adsense payments and when they do that a link to my Adsense Consultant Blog shows up in the search engines!

So one of the ways that I have been able to get some of my blog posts in the search engines in as little as 24 hours is because I have posted about information that a lot of people seem to be looking for. And this is something that you should keep in mind when you're wondering about how someone's blog post (or website) can show up in the search engines in as little as 24 hours!

It does require some work!

I have found out about these popular blog posts of mine and I try to use that information to optimize my blogs more!

Help! My Blog Is Not Automatically Showing Up In The Search Engines!

There have been a lot of posts from people who have been posting that their sites / blogs are not showing up in the search engines. The thing that gets me is that the people who post these messages say that their sites are only a few weeks, days or even hours old!

First of all you have to understand that just because you have a site on the Internet doesn't mean that it will automatically show up in the search engines! Please understand the basic concept(s) of the search engines which is:

People will type in search terms looking for sites that have related information. What YOU want is for YOUR site to show up in the search engine results when people type in search terms that are related to the content of your site.

Do a test run yourself. Type in the search term(s) that you want your site to be associated with and see where your site ranks. If you don't like where your site is ranking take a look at those sites that are ranking above yours - these are the sites that you will have to "out-optimize".

There have been times when I have had blog posts show up in the search engines in as little as 24 hours but the blog itself is more than a few months old! For instance I have an Adsense Consultant blog where there have been a few of my posts that have shown up in as little as 24 hours in the search engines only because the topic matter has been so popular!

Oh My God! I Think I Found A Secret!

I was reading a post from someone who was complaining about their site not being ranked high in the search engines. They mentioned their frustration at the adult and adult-related sites as well as the "spam" sites that appeared before his own website in the search engine ranking results.

The post gave me an idea to try out and I decided to test it with a site that appears above mine in the search engine rankings - it worked! - my blog appeared above the other site in Google's search engine results!

So I decided to try it on another site that was appearing before my site in the search engine results! it worked again!

I checked my search engine results for the term "adsense consultant" and my blog was the top ranked site on Google's search engine!

Now I know that this is quite hard to believe and I am feeling that same way too! How could I instantly be able to get my adsense consultant blog to the top of the search engine in just a matter of minutes?!!!!

So while this little experiment is in its infancy I'm definitely going to be checking my search engine results for the next few days just to see if this little experiment worked! If it does then I'm going to start implementing it with the SEO work that I'm doing for clients!

It is just amazing what one picks up on the Internet if they just pay extra attention to what it is that they are doing!

I was looking at yet another post from someone who wanted to know why their blog wasn't on Google's search engine results.

First of all their blog could have been in the search engine results but just at a lower ranking. This begs the question of just how many pages of search engine results did this person go through to find their blog?

Basically speaking you can't say that your site or blog is not in the search engine results unless you go through every page of search results.

Secondly this person was using a search term that brings back 26 Million "hits"! Now I ask you how can a person who has had a blog for less than a month expect their blog to show up in the most popular search engine there is - Google's search engine - and expect to show up on page one of the search engine results?

I have had some of my blog posts show up on the search engines in as little as 24 hours BUT the blog itself is more than a few months old.

I worked at it - Ironically since I did some search engine optimization on my Adsense Consultant blog, I haven't had to do much else to keep my page 1 search engine rankings. Basically the search engine optimization tactics that I used was to simply try and "out-optimize" the sites that were being listed in the search engines ahead of my very own blog!

These kind of SEO tactics involve a lot of analyzing - especially when you are talking about analyzing the sites of one's competitor so that YOUR site will appear above your own competitor's site in the search engine rankings.

Just because you "build a site" "The will not come" automatically!

You have to optimize your site for the search engines before the search engines can even begin to find your site!

This questions keeps on being asked ALL the time! I wouldn't have even mentioned it now but I'm on a message board that is related to SEO help.

This question keeps being asked over and over again and what people have to realize is that there is quite a lot of work involved as far as getting one's site to show up in the search engines.

I am also an Adsense Consultant and that blog is listed on page one of Google's search engine results for the term "adsense consultant. (as of today, June 15th, a link to 3 of my sites shows up on page one of Google's search engine for the term "adsense consultant").

Getting one's site to show in the top page rankings on Google and/or the other major search engines is going to require a lot of work on your part! and even then you have to constantly keep working at it because new sites are being added to the Internet every day - which means that every day YOUR site has the potential to get bumped down the line of search engine results!
